ABOUT JAPAN
The University of Tokyo has it's roots in a Edo-era academic institutions such as the Astronomy Agency (1684). It's current enrollment is 30,000 students (6.5% foreign students).
Keio needs to work on its international reputation. Within Japan it's widely ranked as a top university. However, internationally it only ranks 320th in the world (2012 Times Higher Education World University Rankings).
Nagoya University maintains a healthy international environment. Currently about 13% of undergraduates are foreign students.
